![]() While she’s a prickly acquaintance at first, but through her shared experiences with V the two become closer, eventually becoming a romanceable character. You meet braindance specialist and Mox-affiliated hacker Judy pretty early on in Cyberpunk 2077’s story, in the quest The Information. Judy's gender preference: Feminine voice tone, feminine body type. ![]() How to Romance Judy Alvarez in Cyberpunk 2077 Maintaining a relationship with one of them into the end-game can potentially lead to them playing a supporting role in the ending you get - but to avoid spoilers, we won't divulge more than that in this guide. If you're wondering what makes Judy, Panam, River, and Kerry "romance" options and other characters (notably Meredith Stout) "flings" - it's mainly because one of the aforementioned big four can potentially become V's long-term partner. It's all about body type (and sometimes voice tone) with these four.įurthermore, the game's various "flings" will all be available regardless of V's gender presentation. On the plus side, Cyberpunk's infamous genital customisation options are purely cosmetic, and have no effect on your potential love interests' feelings about starting a relationship with you. In fact, if you've gone for a gender non-conforming V and mix-and-matched voice and body type, your options will be reduced to one potential romantic interest in the whole game. However, V's body type is also an influencing factor when it comes to romance: if you've chosen to match a masculine frame with a feminine voice tone or vice versa, some of your potential paramours won't be into that. This determines which pronouns V uses throughout the game, as well as other characters' perception of V's gender. Masculine-voiced V will be treated as male by the game, while feminine-voiced V will be treated as female. In Cyberpunk 2077, the primary deciding factor in how the game recognises V's gender is (somewhat oddly) the voice tone you chose at the start of the game. This is because (unless you're playing with certain Cyerberpunk mods that unlock all V's potential romance options) Judy, Panam, River, and Kerry all have a gender preference that limits which variants on V they'll be interested in. Exactly who you can pursue a romance with depends on the choices you made in the character creator at the beginning of the game. While we've said already that there are four major romantic options for V in Cyberpunk 2077, in practice you won't have an equal shot at impressing all of them. Here’s where you can find the four main romances options, as well as all of the various flings we’ve found so far. I know that BioWare games have received some pushback for “too many” bisexual characters, but the reverse, very rigidly defined NPC preferences, is a lot less interesting and a lot more constricting, as many Cyberpunk players are about to learn if you’ve fallen in love with Judy or Panam or River and discover you cannot pursue them. But that’s what made it into the final game. Reportedly there’s even cut dialogue in the data of the game for a male romance of Judy, for instance, as maybe these set roles were not always the plan. There are PC mods that let you romance all characters with any gender, so that path is open for some. I too went to look up guides back then to figure out if I’d done something wrong, but the answer is simply…Panam likes guys. I learned this the hard way with my female V who had gotten very flirty with Panam, only to have her ultimately pull away and reject me. And of the ones you can romance, you are pretty locked into very specific choices. But no, you cannot romance other characters like Claire, Rogue, Johnny or Takemura. No NPC here is down with both male and female Vs, and these are the only “main” romance options in the game, outside of a brief fling you can have with Meredith Stout, which seems like part of a cut corpo storyline.
